Re:generation for Students is the result of a collaborative effort between experienced student leaders, the national Re:generation director, and authors. Upon launching at Watermark Community Church in 2019, 80 students signed up within the first 10 minutes of registration. By God’s grace, hundreds of students have discovered the freedom that comes from pursuing Christ and growing alongside others in a safe and supportive community ever since.
Before making it broadly available, Watermark Resources spent three years testing and refining the program with trusted partner churches and schools across the country to ensure its effectiveness.
We passionately believe that new life in Christ is for everyone. Whether your student is battling depression, anxiety, eating disorders, or hidden struggles like pornography—or they simply feel like something isn’t right but can’t pinpoint why—Re:generation for Students is here to help. No matter where they’re starting from, all students can experience the freedom and joy of a relationship with Jesus.
Students who fully engage with the curriculum should expect to discover that biblical Christ-centered discipleship and community are fundamental building blocks for healing and recovery.
Students who participate should expect the church to follow the Bible’s guidance to care for them and take action as advocates for their healing, health and safety. This includes notifying appropriate authorities if a student is in danger (Matthew 18:5-6, Proverbs 31:8), adhering to legal requirements for reporting allegations or suspicions of abuse or neglect (Romans 13:1), and encouraging students to share with others as the Bible directs them (1 Corinthians 12:25-27, James 5:16, Matthew 5:23-24, 1 John 1:7).
Through God’s Word, many students have found freedom from struggles like anxiety, depression, addiction, and more—see how this ministry can help.
The right time is when your student is ready to take a step toward healing and growth. If you’ve noticed isolation, harmful behaviors, or signs of depression—or they’ve expressed a desire to work through challenges—Re:generation for Students can help provide the support and tools they need.
Re:generation for Students helps teens build a deeper relationship with Christ, gain practical tools to address struggles, and connect with a supportive community. While every journey is unique, many students experience lasting transformation and freedom through biblical principles and authentic relationships.
Re:generation for Students is not professional counseling. It’s a discipleship-based recovery program focused on biblical healing in a community setting. If your student needs therapy for clinical issues, Re:generation for Students can complement that process but is not a replacement for professional care.
The program is led by a committed leadership team who have completed Re:generation or have spent time serving with students. Re:generation for Students requires all potential leaders to:
- Participate in a face-to-face interview with the local organization’s staff overseeing and hosting the program
- Complete a criminal background check for the local organization’s staff overseeing and hosting the program
- Review the leadership policies and safety procedures, and sign a statement acknowledging that they have read, understood, and agree to comply with policy requirements
